About

Amy Harrison MSW, RSW, PMH-C

I am a masters level Mental Health therapist who has worked with individuals and groups for more than 15 years. I am passionate about helping people achieve their greatest potential through overcoming their inner self-critic and move through difficult life circumstances with strength and resiliency. I believe strongly in the human need for support and connection in order to grow and thrive. My therapeutic approach is evidence-based, strengths-focused and client centered.

I began my career working in the downtown east communities of Vancouver and Toronto. Over the years I have spent my professional time advocating for necessary and vital services for families in financial hardship, those facing chronic illness, and individuals with mental health and intellectual disabilities. For the past five years I have worked in a community health care clinic planning and providing treatment for children, youth and adults from pregnancy to end of life.

As a mother of four, I have both personal and professional knowledge of the many challenges of creating and caring for a family. I’ve received training in perinatal mental health and certification from Postpartum Support International (PMH-C). If you are looking for support and are planning your family, pregnant, or adjusting to life after birth please email to schedule a session.
